1/3 - The Schedule

5 days to launch!

MattW was solely responsible for putting together this schedule.  My only requisite was that we visit some of the sites where LOTR was filmed.  :)

Also, kiwi_outdoors from the Ninja 250 forum recommended some adventure caving.  Heck yea!  Hopefully I'll be able to get in some adventure caving as well as canyoning (see links on left).  Where better to do this than in beautiful Kiwi country?

    Arrival in Christchurch Dorset house reserved night of 1/13
     
      Day 1 (1/14) Christchurch to Picton -Sequoia Lodge reserved
       
        Day 2 (1/15) Picton to northern most point back to somewhere up there 
              Day 3 (1/16) Somewhere up there down through north mountain pass to Westport
              Day 4 (1/17) Westport down the coast to Methven At Lake Lyndon, can take current mapped route, which has some gravel, but awesome scenery, or take 73, which is longer, but paved, and also has some good scenery 
              Day 5 (1/18) Methven to Rohan to Lake Tekapo to Twizel - check out Lake Ruataniwha 
              Day 6 (1/19) Twizel up to Mount Cook and down to Wanaka
              Day 7 (1/20) Wanaka to Milford Sound 
              Day 8 (1/21) Cruise of Milford Sound 
              Milford Sound to Wanaka 
              Day 9 (1/22) Queenstown 
              Day 10 (1/23) Invercargill (~300 miles round trip) 
              Day 11 (1/24) More Queenstown - go up to Glenorchy (rides 49) 
              Day 12 (1/25) Mount Aspiring 
              Day 13 (1/26) Wanaka to Ross 
              Day 14 (1/27) Ross to Hanmer Springs 
              Day 15 (1/28) Hanmer Springs to Christchurch, ride route 43, and then turn bikes in 
              Day 16 (1/29) Fly back...  

              Maps:
                        Optional - Wanaka to Milford Sound to Invercargill to Wanaka over two days (includes route 51, parts of 64 and 62 and 46)
